The anual Madison County High School food bank returned for yet another year. Every year, the MCHS Student Council request students and teachers to donate non-perishable foods to the Madison County Food Bank. The food drive helps provide food for the homeless for the holidays. The Food Bank takes canned goods, any box foods, such as macaroni and cheese, stuffing, jams and jellies, rices, peas, and much more. The Student council assisted with the drive by delivering boxes to the teachers rooms, so they could collect the items. Many teachers even offered extra credit for any students willing to bring in food. Administration also offers the incentive of providing the grade level who brings in the most food, as well as a pizza party for the winning second period. To date, the grade that takes the lead is 10th, second 11th,third 12th, and finally the 9th grade takes fourth. So with that being said, please partake and donate food to the food drive.
