FCCLA stands for the Family Career Community leaders of America. Through the club, members learn how to become better leaders and how to promote their own personal health. FCCLA allows its members to participate in many different competitions and events, engaging students in activities to assistant them in their future career.

FCCLA grows each year, and currently, the club includes more than 164,000 members and over 5,300 chapters, school clubs, from states across the country. This club involved over ten million members and officers since its founding in 1945. Through this club, members compete in many different competitions, such as The Knowledge Bowl, chili cookoffs, STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events, and much more. In these competitions, students obtain the opportunity to qualify for state and national levels through their competitions. Also, students make new and lasting friendships from across the state and within their school, as they engage with others from all different grade levels and classes. Memories made with the FCCLA club stay forever in the hearts of all the members; whether it be an away trip, club meeting, or officer meeting, the wonderful members insure every event remains intersecting.

Those interested in becoming involved in this club, contact club advisers Lynn Booth (culinary arts room) or Allison Daniels (room 510). Club meetings take place once a month, and only paid members are allowed to attend these meetings. Meeting are either held in the culinary arts dining room or Mrs. Daniel’s room.
