A Night to Remember for MC

ESPN top 20 Point Guard Kayla Mcpherson leads the Madison County Lady Raider Basketball team. On Saturday, the young guard played a game that many may recall forever and remembered in the history books of Madison County. Kayla scored a record sixty four points and made eleven three pointers. With a stat like that, some might think  she played selfishly and only looked for points, but that was not the case. She played smart and with tremendous confidence; even Kyle Funderburk, a local writer for Main Street News covering Madison County athletics, tweeted, “She’s the best high school player I’ve ever watched in person, boys or girls” Madison County ended the night beating Hart County with a final score of 93-68. The craziest part of the entire performance is that Kayla is only a sophomore and still has two years left to rewrite other records. The Lady Raiders take on the Titans at North Oconee on Tuesday, and Kayla  looks again to reinforce her star status.
